A Deposit of Davids...
Tonight’s guest instalment comes courtesy of David Wood, taken from a trip he and friends took around Western Europe. This photo features a copy of the Statue of David, with the original sculpture currently housed in Florence. It is one of the most famous sculptures by the great renaissance painter Michelangelo.
Standing alongside David, we have, from left to right: David, David and David (Wood, Bertrand and Orr). A triple whammy of Davids, stood by David. Bravo!

Hi there fact fans. As a fully paid up pedant, and as an erstwhile student of Renaissance History, I feel I need to point out to you all that this is a fine COPY of one of the more famous of Michelangelo's sculptures. The original is inside the Academia Gallery in Florence.
This doesn't lessen the impact of the good work that David and his friends have done here... it's just important to be accurate about these things.
Toodle-pip.

[sorry for the deletion, but when being pedantic, it's best to be as accurate as you can be]
Ta Swiss!
I'm guessing you already know how my mind is working, but you, VDP and I really need to go and stand by this one.
Or maybe if this ever happened, it would save us a trip.
you'd get a great picture if your name was Liberty, wouldn't you?
I've actually been to John Wayne airport, as has Luke. Shame on us for no statue photo.
Shame on you for not purchasing a ten gallon cowboy hat too.
An inspired idea though John and one which all readers named John should aspire too: Stand by your Statue named John. Please send your photos in!
you edited the post - you cheeky monkey.
Bloody revisionists....
