Buddy Bears in Berlin…
Big thanks to friend Gareth for sending in tonight’s photo, taken whilst on a recent stag do in Berlin. The chap in the middle is the stag, and I think I am correct in saying he’s a married man now!
Apparently these bear statues are spread all over the town, and the bear is the emblem of Berlin. I have a feeling that these particular bears represent different countries, with the black one representing Australia, the red one China and the greenish one India. Not sure what the country the other one represents to be honest...
Ahem, having written this above, I have since discovered on tinternet that these creatures are in fact ‘Buddy Bears’, and they are scattered all over town. I’m thinking we’ll have to pay a visit to Berlin pronto to imitate some more…

This is so cute! These chaps must be nice men---otherwise they wouldn't pose with such cuddly creatures. Uh, the bears----not the fellows. . . .
That blue bear is sporting the Bahamian flag on his right breast. That might be a clue.
Those bears are all over the world, John. There's one at Manly Wharf here in Sydney (I got a photo of the bear but noone standnig by it, I'm afraid!)
