And so, we continue… and in some sort of remarkable two for the price of one type deal I thought I’d post another from the mecca that is Statuepark this evening. It’s a cracking communist monument this one, featuring a huge great flag, some strap on rifle action and a rather funky hat! Given that Rich stands at 6 foot-ish, it is also quite a large statue, which we always love here at statue towers.
My research has uncovered the fact that the statue is none other than Felszabadulási emlékmű! Unfortunately, my Hungarian doesn’t stretch to working out the translation, although a quick google suggests that it is the Liberation Monument. Once again an impeccable spot of imitation work from Rich, although he does appear to be giving it a spot of the Hail Hitlers!
