I seem to have gotten off quite lightly in terms of Stand By Your Statue shots posted in recent times, so here is one of me alongside a happy waiter in Madrid (in case you were wondering, I'm the one on the left).

this is fun and funny as hell! i scrolled through the pictures and they're great! your friends too, for posing like the statues!
I like the fact that you can see VDP laughing in the reflection of the window behind you - and that you seem to be keen to have a much bigger tray than the piddling little thing the statue isn't holding.
Oh, and the hat's fantastic too of course.
With hindsight, my tray positioning was not too clever, yes, although I was quite hungry at the time.

I loved that hat. If there are any folks in Toronto who may have seen that hat lying around then please contact me!
I think bomb disposal got that hat. Them or the fashion police.
